Job & Volunteer Opportunities

ECL Tutoring Service offers volunteer tutoring positions throughout the year. Many of our volunteers are high school students who sit with younger students and help with group and summer classes.

Volunteers also listen to students who are taking part in our free reading program at 4:15-5:15 p.m. in the evenings. Every child who is learning how to read or who struggles with reading needs someone to listen to him/her in order to help correct mistakes. Your duty will be to listen to the child read and help him/her to make corrections as he/she goes along as well as to ask questions along the way to ensure that the child is understanding what is being read. Remember reading involves understanding; not just recalling words.

Become a Tutor

Help a child learn to read and write stories as well as become proficient in math while completing your required high school volunteer hours. You will learn the tricks of the trade while you are helping others, that is, we provide you with different strategies to qualify you for employment as a tutor right here in our company while you are working on your university degree.
